Sports movie festival, prizes fairly divided - Vietnam Sports and Tourism Movie Centre

All seven participating countries won prizes at the 4th Hanoi International FICTS Festival, which closed in Hanoi on June 8.
Of six film categories, the jury didn’t pick a first prize winner in three. Romania’s The Team Echipia won the second prize in the scientific and educational film category. Bangladesh’s Krishoker Eid Anando was granted second prize in the advertising, comment, gameshow, talkshow and TV show category. Iran won second prize in Smart and Outsmart, the cartoon category.

 

In the three remaining categories, the first prize in the reporting category went to The Path to Mount Everest by Hcm city Television. Football, A Place with No Justice of Iran received first prize in the documentary category. Mai Mai Ti’s 2008 won first prize for feature film for China. Vietnam’s The Punch won the consolation prize.

 

The jury presented 31 awards. Vietnam received 21 prizes, with five going to the Vietnam Sports and Tourism Movie Centre.

A Week of US Films will be held from June 9-14 by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in cooperation with the US academy of cinematic science and art.
